It’s stunning how modern these early 20th Century photos look. It can’t merely be the presence of colour - some of the poses and stlyes are startlingly contemporary. Take “portrait of Kitty ca 1911” - I’ve never seen anything like that photo before. It’s straight out of a late-60s American lifestyle magazine, but shot nearly a lifetime before. Boggling…
